Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has some of the most unique stories in all of anime and manga. It all begins when a stone mask reveals its true power. This only adds fuel to the fire of a conflict between the Joestar and Brando families. Some would even call it a very bizarre turn of events.

Learn all about the best villains in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure!
As each Joestar discovers their powers and defeats enemies from the darkest corners of London to the fictional Japanese town of Morioh, new allies emerge to help the Joestar family tree on their mission. With some parts focusing on a grand adventure while others offer a mystery to unravel, each one has plenty of reason to be someone’s favorite part. So here is every part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, ranked.

Part Nine – JoJo Lands
A Promising Adventure
Jojo Lands offers longtime fans a Jojo who is a little less righteous with a rather unique stand. It is difficult to rank a Jojo part when it has barely gotten past the front gates. The star of Jojolands is Jodio who has one goal. This is to get rich while committing various crimes across Hawaii.
While Jodio shares a name similar to two of the most popular characters in Jojo’s history, another trait that has fans keeping an eye on this part is the strange stand that comes with it. This is November Rain, which can make it rain heavy droplets to cause destruction. This is already a unique protagonist to follow as the series unfolds.

Part One – Phantom Blood
A Fight Between Good And Evil
As far as completed parts are concerned, Phantom Blood is at the bottom of the list. However, this does not mean that you should skip it either. It contains horror elements that can leave any fan of the dark and creepy craving for more. It also features the most honorable and tragic Jojo of them all, Jonathan Joestar.
While the part may not be as long or have the greatest twists, the conflict between Jonathan and Dio is worth watching. This is also where Dio is at his most vampirey with his elegant way of speaking, being candy to any anime fan’s ears. For a complete Phantom Blood experience, read the manga, which has more content.
7
Part Five – Golden Wind
A Disconnected But Satisfying Journey
Golden Wind is fantastic. However, as far as Jojo’s parts go, it has little relevance to anything that happens in the rest of the series. While the topic of Giorno being Dio’s son gets quickly swept under the rug, there is still plenty to stick around for.

Taking place in Venice, it follows Giorno as he tries to rise in the ranks of the mafia in order to protect the innocent using his influence. However, after an escort mission goes wrong, Giorno and his newfound allies become the number one enemy with Stand Users out for their heads.

Part Six – Stone Ocean
The End Of A Timeline
Some fans hate Stone Ocean and others love it. However, it has a Jojo that uses clever problem-solving to defeat enemies that simply can’t be beaten with brute force alone. Jolyne’s part is a culmination of everything that came before it but can often leave you with mixed feelings.
It introduces interesting concepts such as Dio having multiple children but doesn’t do much with them despite their potential. The Green Baby process can also seem a bit more complicated to follow until you see the end result. The story is also mostly confined within the Green Dolphin Prison until Jolyne’s Escape.
5
Part Eight – Jojolion
A Mystery That Keeps Going Deeper
Jojolion offers plenty in terms of a good mystery, interesting stands, and the return of one of the greatest original locations in Jojo’s history. Like Steel Ball Run, the story is enhanced by taking place in the new continuity instead of being locked to the original timeline.
As the eighth Jojo, Josuke or Gappy tries to uncover the truth behind his identity as well as his connection to the Joestar family tree. Part eight also benefits from having many fights that take you deeper into the greater mystery of Jojolion as opposed to just feeling like the random Stand User of the week. If anything, its greatest flaw is having a final antagonist that doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of the main villains.
4
Part Two – Battle Tendency
No Stands, No problem
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure took a major left turn in terms of the main characters. While Jonathan is the embodiment of pure good in the series, Joseph Joestar has a good heart but has a tricky energy to him that catches friends and foes off guard.

It’s time to pose like a Stand user for the very best JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure openings.
This personality is what makes Battle Tendency such a joy to read or watch. As the part escalates, the threat of Vampires is eclipsed by the awakening of the Pillar Men; with their contrasting personalities to Joseph’s, it’s quite entertaining to see how he learns to beat them by thinking outside the box. So, while Battle Tendency has no stands, it can still stand proud as one of the best Jojo parts.

Part Three – Stardust Crusaders
The Introduction Of Stands
Stardust Crusaders is by far one of the most popular parts of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. It has everything you could want to get someone immediately invested in the series. It has a menacing foe, the introduction of Stand abilities, and characters that have plenty of chemistry traveling halfway across the world together.
Stardust Crusaders is also enhanced by having multiple animations, such as the Ova or the official anime. This only helps it gain an even more lasting impact on fans. While this might spike Stardust Crusaders to the top, other parts do some aspects better. Regardless, you should never skip parts to get to Stardust Crusaders.
2
Part Seven – Steel Ball Run
A Race Across America
Steel Ball Run starts strong by taking place in a fresh new continuity from everything that came before it. It is best described as a mix of the first three parts of Jojo. You have the Joestar and Brando conflict returning but it is not exactly a battle between pure good and pure evil.
Meanwhile, you have the journey that Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli go on which takes them across America on horseback. With every racer in the Steel Ball Run Race having their reasons for winning, it makes the foes and allies they encounter so much more compelling. The part also offers a decent mystery as to the real purpose of the race, which sets the foundation for the new timeline.
1
Part Four – Diamond Is Unbreakable
A Stellar Location And Memorable Characters
Diamond is Unbreakable is the fourth part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and it benefits from many of the story decisions made for the plot. Staying in Morioh for the duration of the plot allows it to feel more like a special location in the Jojo world. This isn’t just a place that gets briefly visited during a long journey, this is home.
While other parts have a more pressing goal, Diamond is Unbreakable takes it easy and allows the characters to breathe. When the main villain is finally revealed, it puts both the town and the characters you grew to love at risk. With Yoshikage Kira on the loose and present throughout the story, you might even end up rooting for him by accident.
