In Deadlock, the third-person MOBA developed by Valve Software, the right items can make the difference between victory and a crushing defeat. Items are powerful tools that alter the stats of your character. They can be purchased from the vendor for souls, the currency that you’ll earn by defeating enemies and completing objectives.
Spirit Items are items that affect your abilities, altering their effects, increasing their damage, and reducing their cooldowns. There are four tiers of Spirit Items, with each being progressively more powerful and expensive than the last. What works best for you will depend on a variety of factors, but here are some choices to start with.
8
Improved Reach
Tier 3 Item
With Improved Reach, the area that your abilities will be able to affect will be increased beyond their normal limits. This allows you to combat enemies from an even greater distance. For heroes such as Invicta and Grey Talon, this can be an especially useful tool.
Enemies can be harassed from safety while you limit the exposure you will have to their own abilities. Improved Reach also increases Spirit Resist and Spirit Power. It requires the Tier 1 item Mystic Reach to purchase.
7
Superior Duration
Tier 3 Item
Superior Duration increases the amount of time that your abilities will stay activated once used. When purchased, it increases the duration of abilities that are both Imbued and Non-Imbued and also increases your health plus the amount of damage you deal with your main weapon.

Additionally, it will apply a regenerative effect to your health. Superior Duration is useful for getting the most out of your abilities, allowing you to damage enemies or create areas of denial zones for longer. Superior Duration requires the Tier 2 item Duration Extender.
6
Boundless Spirit
Tier 4 Item
Compared to many of the other Spirit Items, the effects of Boundless Spirit are simple. Purchasing Boundless Spirit will increase your stats across the board, making your hero more powerful in all the areas that count.
Boundless Spirit improves Spirit Power, how much damage you deal with your weapon, how much health you have, causes health to regenerate, and increases your sprinting speed. To purchase Boundless Spirit you will first need to have bought Improved Spirit, a Tier 3 item.
5
Refresher
Tier 4 Item
Refresher is an active ability, meaning that it can be activated at will by pressing the corresponding key. When activated, Refresher will reset the cooldowns of your abilities. This can be used to surprise an enemy in a fight or to make your escape, allowing you to use multiple charges of your most powerful abilities repeatedly.

Additionally, Refresher provides extra Spirit and bullet resistance. At over 200 seconds, Refresher has a very long cooldown, so make sure that you use it at the right time.
4
Echo Shard
Tier 4 Item
Echo shard is an active ability that can also be used to reset the cooldown of your abilities. This effect is applied to the last ability you used that wasn’t your ultimate. Compared to Refresher, Echo Shard can be used in a fraction of the time, allowing you to rapidly make use of specific abilities multiple times.
Echo Shard has the secondary effect of increasing your movement speed, Spirit Power, and bullet resistance. With the correct items, every part of your chosen hero can be altered in this manner.
3
Mystic Reverb
Tier 4 Item
When purchasing Mystic Reverb from the store, you will be prompted to select an ability that it will be applied to. Whenever an enemy is affected by this ability, they and anyone around them will be slowed temporarily.

After a delay, a percent of the damage dealt to enemies within this radius will be applied. This is useful for crowd control and taking on multiple enemies at once. Mystic Reverb also has the effect of increasing your Spirit Lifesteal, Spirit Resist, and the range of the affected ability.
2
Escalating Exposure
Tier 4 Item
With Escalating Exposure, any Spirit damage that is dealt to an enemy also inflicts them with a stacking effect that increases the amount of Spirit Damage you will deal them. This can be stacked multiple times, making your attacks increasingly powerful the more damage you deal.
This effect can quickly accumulate, depleting the health of your foes before they can retaliate. Escalating Exposure also increases your Spirit Resist and your health, and it requires the tier 2 item Mystic Vulnerability to purchase.
1
Diviner’s Kevlar
Tier 4 Item
Diviner’s Kevlar greatly increases the defensive capabilities of your hero. On heroes with naturally high defenses, such as Viscous, this item can make them nearly unstoppable. Diviner’s Kevlar is applied whenever you use your ultimate ability, temporarily providing your hero with a shield against bullets and Spirit Power.
It also increases your own Spirit Power and Spirit Lifesteal. Many heroes are at their most vulnerable when using their ultimate abilities, and this item can help mitigate the danger of using your most powerful tools.
